We are Lock Haven’s hottest new self-pour taproom and dining destination, offering a unique experience that blends history, hospitality, and innovation.
Located inside the former Lock Haven Trust and Safe Deposit Company building, which was constructed in the 1920s, the space has a rich history. It even served as a filming location for the now lost 1928 silent movie For the Love of Helen. Nearly a century later, the historic building has found new life thanks to owners Emma and Parker Everett, who transformed it with a simple vision: create a welcoming place where great food, great drinks, and great people come together.
Although the building’s days as a bank are long behind it, much of its original character has been carefully preserved. Original chandeliers, decorative molding, and select pieces of furniture remain throughout the space, serving as reminders of its past while complementing its modern atmosphere.
One of the building’s most memorable features is the massive original bank vault, which has become a centerpiece of The Haven Exchange. Rather than removing or hiding it, the Everetts embraced its history by transforming it into a cozy gathering space. Warm lighting and plush, comfortable thrifted chairs create an intimate setting where friends and family can relax while surrounded by the building’s historic charm.
Beyond its signature self-pour tap wall, The Haven Exchange also features a full-service bar, a small but elevated comfort food menu, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverage options, ensuring there is something for everyone. The building’s upper floor is also available to rent for private events, including birthday parties, celebrations, business meetings, and other special occasions.
While several taps will remain permanent favorites, many others will rotate throughout the year based on seasonal availability and customer feedback. The ever-changing selection gives guests the opportunity to discover new beverages with every visit, making each trip to The Haven Exchange a fresh experience while celebrating both the building’s historic roots and its exciting new chapter.
